Who we are and what we do |
Our Music The Barbershop Style - We sing modern four-part harmony in the Barbershop style. It is all a capella (no accompaniment), and uses the human voice to create harmonic effects that are pleasing to the ear. Music and Vocal Training - The Chorus offers a complete package of training tools for learning and memorizing music including sheet music and MP3 learning tracks. In addition, the Chorus provides extensive instruction in vocal production, including classes and individual coaching. Fun and Fellowship Singing together in close harmony can create lasting bonds and friendships. Having a good time together in a wholesome environment is what makes Barbershop an important part our our guys' lives. Our events and shows are all family oriented, and our own families are part of our hobby too. Community Service The joy of singing always brings a special cheer to those in need. The Chorus of the Brandywine takes special pride in the programs we have for serving the greater Wilmington community. Whether it is singing for the veterans at the VA hospital, or the elderly, the Chorus brings its message of good cheer to any in need. Shows and Events The Chorus produces shows such as "A Cappella Fever" in the Fall of 2011, and regularly performs for retirement homes and senior centers. These events provide fun for both our audiences and our membership. |
